Meeting Minutes
December 17, 2010
- Second objective: Provide each child with a positive caring adult role model/mentor. We talked about the feasibility of “each child” receiving a mentor or role model. We talked about how some children placed are young children: days old to toddlers and ages 10 and up are the largest population of placement. We will talk further about defining the child population needing models or mentors.
- We need research on some of the mentoring programs available. I will reach out to Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Beth will look into the criteria of approval within her agency. For example: criminal and child abuse clearance and or training available for volunteers. Polly will look at the criteria within her agency. We talk about integrating to the Juvenile crimes group concerning this goal.
